This morning bright and early Aaron and I headed off to Gillette to pick up the couches in my parents' basement. Aaron finally got to meet my parents, and that was all kinds of fun. It was nice and rainy over there, but nice and not rainy once we made it back to Spearfish, so that was quite convenient. I immediately went back home after throwing the couches in the living room and locking up 'cause I had to give my dad his truck back.
Upon returning home, I saw my Uncle John was there, so we all sat and talked for a while, then Dad asked how my car was running, and I said "sluggish," so we checked the air filter and spark plugs, turns out the plugs were quite worn, as it's at 24,000 miles and needed a tune up. Dad and Uncle John helped me with all of those, and we even got my tires aired up a bit. Dad sent me home with more chicken for food, and Aaron said he'd teach me some "cooking diversity" so I'm not eating the same thing all the time. Woo hoo!
Earlier, Dad showed me his new air/pellet rifle, and before dinner we went out and shot at targets and pop cans with it, so he could get the scope adjusted, and that was a lot of fun, 'cept it kicked a little, and I'm not used to that, so I missed quite frequently. It was still fun, and nice to go back home after about a month or so of not being there, even though I had to drive on I-90 four times today. Whew.
